Dispute Resolution

Represented a Spanish cosmetic company in an arbitration regarding brand dispute against its agent in China which claimed the amount in RMB300 million in damages and significantly reduced the compensation for the client;

Represented a Singapore company in its arbitration regarding chip equipment technology transfer agreement against a stated-owned company and recovered the full amount of technology royalties;

Represented a securities company in a dispute over the VAM clause in the investment agreement with several NEEQ public companies it invested in and its actual controllers, initiated and won the litigation;

Represented the bill holders in the famous case against the Evergrande Group to initiate a series of commercial bill recovery litigations and recovered most of the payments;

Represented a chip company to answer the litigation brought by its downstream supplier based on the chip purchase agreement and obtained favorable decision from the court which dismissed all requests from the opposing party;

Represented a domestic software company to resolve the dispute over its technology developing contract and claimed back the technology developing expenses for the client;

Represented a Chinese restaurant chain in the dispute among the shareholders and achieved court's support to dismiss all requests from the opposing party;

Represented a medical device company to resolve the dispute over a medical device purchase contract, and successfully recovered all payments under the adverse situation where the client already mistakenly made entire payments;

Represented a well-known domestic medical company in its litigation for the dispute over mask purchase agreement with a large sum of amount against the other contracting party during the pandemic period;

Represented a Japanese cosmetic company in its patent litigation and defended against the infringement of its patent of facial mask product in China;

Represented a Pre-IPO medical company in China by offering litigation opinions on its civil dispute over equity fraud and provided references for subsequent litigation to the client;

Represented an influencer from we-media to resolve the dispute over reputation infringement against a provincial communist party media through TikTok and awarded public apology and compensation from the counterparty for the client;

Represented a state-owned company in its litigation regarding personal injury claim raised by the construction team, won the court's support to exclude the assessment of the body injury grading from the evidence presented by the counterparty, thus vastly reduced the amount of compensation to be paid by the client;

Represented the contractor of the road construction in resolving the dispute over personal injury claim of the pedestrian and reduced the amount of compensation to be paid by the client;

Represented the client in the accident involving staff casualty in a residential construction project held by a state-owned company and secured various compensation for the client;

Represented several foreign senior executives and senior executives in state-owned companies to resolve labor contract disputes with their employers.

Real Estate and Construction Engineering

Represented a state-owned company in a construction contract dispute for an investment project, and successfully reduced the client's compensation amount by changing the judgment at the second instance;

Represented a state-owned company in a dispute regarding the construction contract for the "Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway Project" and obtained the case remand in appellate court under the unfavorable result at the first instance;

Represented a Hong Kong company in a dispute over the construction project contract and obtained court dismissal of several litigation requests from the opposing party;

Represented a French company in the arbitration for the dispute over the construction contract in China and reached the settlement while available evidence was obviously against the client;

Represented a Japanese construction company in claiming the construction payment of an amusement park from the park's Chinese owner, reviewed the evidence and drafted the legal opinions for the client's claims;

Represented a German automobile company to issue the legal opinions on a dispute over the design contract, and drafted the legal opinions for the client's claims;

Represented a state-owned company involved in an electric power equipment installment project in Africa, participated in FIDIC contract review, and negotiated and drafted the legal opinions;

Represented a domestic construction company in a dispute over an insurance claim filed by a construction contractor and an insurance company, resulting in a successful withdrawal of the claim by the counter parties;

Represented a domestic NEEQ public company in its plant purchase dispute and recovered the loss incurred from the increase of purchase price;

Represented a domestic company in its dispute over relocation compensation with the landlord and recovered all relocation compensations for the client.
